Most banks offer business owners an ability to process a ACH transactions to handle payments but many times that requires specially formatted files or tedious manual entry with room for error.  Banks do have a standard format for processing payments and that format is called a NACHA file.  once you have a NACHA formatted file almost all banks will accept that file for processing.  Our utility helps you process direct deposit of payroll checks is simple to use. Simply put, special payroll deduction items are used for each employee that would get a direct deposit. Each payroll you select the payroll date and press retrieve payroll and we get the payroll detail report from QuickBooks and use the details  to create a special banking formatted  file for you to upload to your banks secure portal.

Even though the NACHA format is standard, different financial institutions may choose different options.  To accommodate different banks needs we offer the below options you can tun on and off as needed:

Balanced file:
Some banks will take your bank account information when they accept your ACH file and so already know where to pull the money from. This option handles the situation where the financial institutions does not do this and so they request that you include the bank account # in the file

Enforce Blocking
This option is useful when a FI expects files to be in a predetermined blocks (ours are 940). After we create your base file, we will calculate the number of characters in your actual payroll and then fill the remainder of 940 character block with 9’s

Add 1 to Company EIN
We pull your company 9 digit EIN from QuickBooks but some banks would rather have all 10 characters allowed full and ask for a leading 1 everywhere in the file an company identifier is.

If you have invested in the Intuit QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll for Accountants license shouldn't you be able to manage payroll from end to end?
